Booking With Us

What to Expect

  • Book your trip: Check our calendar availability online. Pick your date. Make a deposit to lock in your reservation. You can always call, text, or email us to book too.

  • Meet us: Captain Chad will call you the evening before your trip usually between 4pm-8pm to confirm trip departure and where you will meet. 

  • What to Bring: Food, drink, any foul weather gear (rain/cold), sunscreen and any other needs for you. You will need to supply ice chests and ziplocks to leave at the dock. We provide a space with ice on the boat to store your cold items and store your dry items. We supply the tackle and gear you will need to fish.

  • After Your Trip: Share with your friends about the excitement you experienced. We enjoy seeing our customers sharing their adventures, so don't hesitate to share your photos on social media, and remember to tag us!

  • What fish is in season during my trip?
    Spring & Summer: Yellowfin, Blackfin, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Blue Marlin, Amberjack, Grouper, Cobia, Mackerel, Snapper, Triple Tail and Tile Fish Late Summer & Fall: Yellowfin, Blackfin, Wahoo, Amberjack, Tarpon, Cobia, Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Triple Tail and Tile Fish Winter (Jan. - March): Yellowfin, Blackfin, Wahoo, Amberjack, Grouper and Mako Sharks. Winter is the time to catch Big Tuna.
  • Do you offer lodging?
    We currently do not offer lodging; however, we have a few lodges that we work closely with to get our clients booked and taken care of.
  • What is the tip for?
    Our deckhands work strictly for tips each day, so tips are highly recommended and appreciated. The tip is ultimately up to you, but we recommend at least 20%.
  • What is your deposit policy?
    We do require a non refundable $500 deposit. This does go towards the full cost of the trip. If your trip is cancelled due to weather, you will have 1 year from the date of your trip to reschedule with this same deposit. If you cancel prior to your 30 day mark, you can use this deposit towards your rescheduled trip.
  • What is the cost of the trip?
    A trip cost is $2200 plus fuel and tip.
  • Where is Venice, LA located?
    Venice is about 90 miles directly south of New Orleans. If you are flying in, you will need to rent a car to drive to Venice as there are not any car or transportation services to get you there.
  • What will I need on the trip?
    You will be responsible for your food, drink, any foul weather gear (rain/cold), sunscreen, and any other needs for you. We supply the tackle and gear you will need to fish. We provide a space to keep your cold items on ice, as well as a space for your dry items. You will need to supply ice chests and ziplocs for after the trip. You do not need to bring those on the boat with you though.
  • How do I book?
    Please take a look at our availability calendar above. When you see available dates that work for you, you can book online through the calendar. You can always call, text or email us as well. Our bookings are first come first serve, so if you select an available date, you must place your deposit in order to lock this date in.
  • What is the average length of the trip?
    Our trips are typically last 10 hours from dock to dock.
  • Do we need to have a fishing license?
    Yes, everyone on the boat over age 16 will need to get a 3-day charter passenger license. You can do this online at LDWF. Then you will need to create an account and purchase the 3 day charter passenger license.
  • Where do we meet for departure?
    Captain Chad will call you the evening before your trip usually between 4pm-8pm to confirm trip departure and where you will meet.
  • Can I book more than 1 boat?
    Yes, we currently only have 1 boat in our fleet; however, we do work closely with other companies to accommodate more than 6 anglers.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We do require that you cancel prior to 30 days if you know already; however, we do understand that life happens and things come up. If your trip is cancelled 2 weeks before your trip date, you will not be able to reschedule with your deposit. If your trip is cancelled within 48 hours, you will be responsible for the cost of the entire trip plus tip.
  • How many gallons of fuel do you burn per trip/what's the average cost of fuel?
    On average, a one day trip burns around 200-250 gals of fuel. The cost will depend on the price of fuel at the time of the trip but can approximately be anywhere from $800 to $1200 per trip.
  • When is my balance due?
    Your balance is due 24 hours prior to your trip if you are paying by credit card. If you are paying with cash, it will be collected the day of your trip.
  • What type of trips do you offer?
    We offer 10 hour offshore fishing charters out of Venice, LA. If you are interested in other fishing (inshore or bow fishing), we can assist with coordinating that for you as well.
  • How many anglers per boat?
    You are allowed 6 anglers per boat. This is 6 people max no matter if everyone is fishing or not.
  • What if our trip is cancelled due to weather conditions?
    Our office will contact you 2-3 days prior to your trip to confirm your reservation and to discuss weather. If your trip needs to be moved or rescheduled due to weather, you will have 1 year from the date of the original trip to reschedule. We will cancel if there are storms over the fishing grounds or any winds over 20 knots. This is not comfortable for anyone, and our ultimate goal for every trip is to keep our customers and ourselves safe at all times.
